Another Swastika Found At Cedarhurst LIRR Station

CEDARHURST, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Another swastika was found etched into a glass panel at the Long Island Rail Road station in Cedarhurst on Monday.

The anti-Semitic symbol was quickly removed, WCBS 880's Mike Xirinachs reported.

The incident comes just days after the LIRR replaced the same panel because someone had scrawled the symbol of hate into it earlier this month.

The incidents have one Long Island assemblyman calling for the installation of security cameras at the Cedarhurst and other stations.

One LIRR rider said she found the situation sad, not scary.

"Sing of the times. This happens. The economy is bad, people look for people to blame or hate," the woman said. "Whenever economic times are bad and everything this kind of stuff flares up."

Police and the MTA are investigating.
