Tao Porchon-Lynch started dancing 11 years ago at age 85, and since then has won hundreds of first place ribbons at various dance competitions.

She is now getting in her last minutes of rehearsal at the Fred Astaire Studio in Hartsdale for the routine she'll perform Tuesday evening on NBC's popular reality competition.

People often are surprised by her energy but Porchon-Lynch says if you believe in something, go for it.

"There's nothing we can't do," Porchon-Lynch told 1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck. "Tune in to your inner self, there's all the power in the universe is right inside of you and know that that power can work. It's worked for me."

She says it wasn't intimidating to audition for the judges because of her years of film and stage experience.

"It's such a pleasure to dance with everybody," Porchon-Lynch said.

The nonagenarian already holds the Guinness Book of Records for the oldest yoga instructor.

Porchon-Lynch will turn 97 in two months.
