All NYC Subway Stations Now Equipped With Security Cameras, MTA Says

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - All of New York City's subway stations now have security cameras.

The MTA says installation work accelerated last year, and now, for the first time, all 472 stations are covered, ahead of schedule.

According to the NYPD, major felonies in the subway system are down more than 20%, and arrests are up almost 29%.

The MTA says it will continue expanding placement of cameras to optimize coverage.
