NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A nursing aide was accused Tuesday of the rape of a 64-year-old woman at the Bronx nursing home where he worked.

Nanic Aidasani, 42, of Yonkers, was charged with the rape early Tuesday morning at the Manhattanville Health Care Center, at 311 W. 231st St. in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx, CBS 2 reported.

Police said another employee found Aidasani on top of the woman around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Journal News report.

Other staff members held Aidasani until police arrived, authorities told CBS 2.

The woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, the newspaper reported. She is unable to speak because of a stroke.

Aidasani, of Yonkers, was expected to be charged with second-degree rape against someone incapable of giving consent, the paper reported.
