Man Stabbed During Quarrel On A Train In Midtown

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was stabbed Thursday afternoon after a quarrel on an A Train in Midtown, police said.

Around 3:30 p.m., the man was stabbed on the northbound train near the 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal at 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue, police said.

The suspect and the victim got into a quarrel on the train and it turned physical, police told 1010 WINS. The suspect stabbed the victim with a sharp object, police said.

The victim, a 42-year-old man, suffered cuts to his forearm, forehead and shoulder. His injuries were serious, but non-life-threatening, police said.

He was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, police said.

The suspect had braids and a camouflage jacket, police said. He fled to surface level at 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue, police said.
