9/2 CBS2 Wednesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

The trend continues today: hot, humid, and near 90°! Now, we're officially going for 89°, which means the heat wave would end, but either way you slice it, it's going to feel like summer out there! Stay cool!

It will be another mild one tonight with light winds; some patchy fog is possible. Temps will fall into the mid 70s by sunrise.

The heat's still in place tomorrow... expecting a high of about 91°. But unlike recent days, we're throwing in a shower/storm chance. We really won't see much in the way of activity until late in the day and into the evening hours, but it has been a little dry around here, so we could use the rain.

Into Friday we go and we'll see a lingering shower/storm chance through the morning. It will be noticeably cooler, too, with highs only making their way into the low 80s -- that's about a 10° drop.

Thankfully, it looks like high pressure will build across our area as we head into the holiday weekend!

Stay tuned!
