9/19 CBS2 Monday Morning Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia

CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good morning, folks! Its a wet start out there, but we really need the rain. The heaviest will move through this morning with even some rumbles of thunder possible.

Scattered showers then continue later today with a general one to two inches possible. We're about 7.5 inches below normal in Central Park, so this will help with the drought. Cooler today with temperatures in the mid and upper 70s for most.

After some lingering showers Tuesday morning, skies will clear and we'll return to a nice sunny stretch once again. Temps will stay above normal this week with highs in the low to mid 80s as we welcome in the fall season.
