9/12 CBS2 Saturday Afternoon Weather Headlines
By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Good afternoon everyone!
We're seeing showers moving into the area, and they'll be becoming more widespread as we head toward the dinner hour. Expect rain and even a few storms through the rest of today and tonight, heavy at times. Those locations that do see some heavy pockets should watch out for possible flooding, mainly in poor drainage and low lying areas. We'll see a high around 80 today in the city.
Showers and storms continue for tonight, becoming more scattered in nature as we head into the early morning hours. Sunday will not be a washout, but we will have some lingering showers in spots, especially north and west. More clouds will start the day, with some sunshine to end. Temps will be cooler, only climbing into the mid 70s.
Monday will be the day to look forward to, even though most of us will be headed back to work and school. Plenty of sunshine with an autumn-like feel. It'll definitely be a day for lunch outside! After that, it looks like the trend will continue as we head into another dry streak next week. Mostly sunny skies each day and temps in the low 80s.
Have a good one!
