9/12 CBS Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Showers and a few storms are rolling through the area, and some of them are heavy. Some heavier cells could create poor drainage/urban flooding - so be careful if you are on the roads tonight! The heaviest rains taper off to some showers overnight with a muggy low temp in the upper 60s.

Clouds hold on through the first half of the day tomorrow with a few spotty showers, primarily north & west of NYC. It will also be a few degrees cooler with temps only maxing out in the mid 70s. Some sun will break out in the afternoon but it won't be crystal clear.

And wouldn't ya know, the weather will be gorgeous just in time for the return to work & school! The cold front working through this weekend will make for a refreshingly cool Monday with plenty of sun and temps only in the mid 70s...feeling more like September!

Check back in soon for the latest on tonight's rain.
