NYPD: Body Of 91-Year-Old Man Found In Bronx Garage With His Hands Tied

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating the death of a 91-year-old man in the Bronx.

The man's body was found Tuesday afternoon inside a garage at his home on Wickham Avenue in the Pelham Gardens section of the borough.

The NYPD said his hands were tied and it looked like he had been beaten -- and possibly suffocated.

He was later identified as 91-year-old Nicholas Rappas.

Sources told CBS2 police are searching for a man seen wearing a construction vest in the area shortly before the body was found.
