8/27 CBS2 Saturday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hello, everyone! The weekend is off to a great start and it'll continue right through tomorrow. Temps will top out in the upper 80s both today and Sunday with a few low 90s for some inland locations. With mostly sunny skies, you're good to go with any outdoor plans! The humidity is much less than what we dealt with yesterday.

Temps dip into the 60s overnight for the suburbs and 70 in Central Park. There is a moderate risk of rip currents today, and rip current dangers will likely increase as we head into early next week. The summer-like temps continue and there are only slight rain chances. Best bet looks to be Wednesday into Thursday as a cold front moves through, and even that does not look overly impressive as of now.

Humidity increases a little each day next week, but should mainly stay in check and below the oppressive range. Have a great weekend!
