8/20 CBS2 Thursday Morning Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta
CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Morning All,

Hope you're off to a nice day! We will have even more clouds peppering the skies and blocking out the blue as the low approaches.

More numerous showers are forecast today. Overnight into Friday morning a more organized area of storms is likely to sweep from west to east. There will also be a south to north component which will drag up moisture from the gulf and humidity as well.

Today's high: 83-85° with a real feel close to 90°.

We will see how the showers/storms play out today to dictate Friday's rain. If the front stalls, expect some flooding. If it keeps moving, expect periods of heavy rain with a quick drainage.

Saturday, some clouds will linger with a shower not ruled out. Sunday looks better, but still, a shower is not out of the question.

Check back in soon for the latest.
