8/20 CBS2 Thursday Evening Weather Headlines

Good Evening All,

It was a real muggy one this afternoon! A slow moving front is drudging up warm tropical air that has saturated our area. More clouds are in the forecast this evening as rain closes in.

The majority of the wet weather will track north, but their is the potential for some flooding overnight into tomorrow morning.  The NWS reissued a Flood Watch for many counties in NJ to our west. They have the best bet at flooding rains.

Although we will all see wet weather, I do not predict a deluge for the NYC area.  Although not out of the question, it's not the rule.

Friday afternoon will improve greatly after 12pm.  Saturday is looking nicer too.
