8/15 CBS2 Monday Morning Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia

CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good morning, everyone and hope you had a nice weekend! It certainly was a hot one, with "feels like" temps well over the century mark. The heat wave will continue today for much of the region as temps climb into the low 90s. It won't feel as brutal as what we had over the weekend, but still feeling near 100. There is a Heat Advisory in effect from noon to 8 p.m. today for the 5 boroughs. A very slight chance of a storm this evening north and west, but most should remain dry.

Tuesday looks like a close call depending on the timing and cloud cover associated with a warm front. Temps could jump back into the low 90s for another day. Showers and storms are likely once again.

Humidity will slowly drop off and late week should feel much better!
