7/8 CBS2 Wednesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

Expect another active afternoon with scattered showers and storms, some of which may produce heavy rainfall and lead to flooding. In addition to the active skies overhead, it's going to be downright hot and sticky! Highs today will reach the upper 80s; feels like temps will be in the low 90s.

Some showers and storms will linger into the evening with just a stray shower or storm possible into the overnight hours. It will still be on the mild side with a low near 71°.

It will be a slightly cooler and less humid day tomorrow ahead of our next system. We can't rule out a shower or storm during the day, but it looks as though the bulk of the activity should hold off until the evening and overnight hours... heavy rain and flooding possible.
High pressure should start to nudge in on Friday bringing us much quieter conditions and lower humidity levels. Afternoon temps will climb into the mid 80s.

As of now, Saturday is looking quite nice with lots of sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 80s.
