7/6 CBS2 Monday Morning Weather

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good morning everybody! Sadly the holiday weekend can't last forever, so it's back to the grind. Stepping out the door for work, you may want to bring the umbrella - especially if you live in NJ or the Lower Hudson Valley. Very slight chance, but still enough to dampen spirits! Clouds increase through the day with a high of 84, and it will be more humid.

A few approaching disturbances from both the west and the south will bring greater chances for showers & storms tomorrow & Wednesday...as well as soaring humidity values. It'll be very warm & sticky out there with a high of 85, and some spots in NJ getting 90. A cold front makes its way toward us Wednesday, and that could spark off some more storms..but not before we warm into the upper 80s and even low 90s. Forget the cool July 4th we had - summer is back with a vengeance!

Thursday looks to be partly sunny with mid 80s and a few showers late at night. Skies clear out Friday morning with temps once again in the middle 80s.

Check back soon for the very latest!
