7/3 CBS2 Friday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good evenin', folks! It's a pretty good looking Friday night ahead, and there's a buzz in the air this holiday weekend! Expect increasing clouds tonight ahead of a weak disturbance that should pass mostly to our south tomorrow. It'll be pretty mild with temps in the mid 60s. It should remain dry as well, so no worries there.

Clouds look to rule through most of the day tomorrow, along with winds from the northeast. This will keep things cooler than normal - expect a high of 75 in NYC and slightly cooler than that at the beaches. There is also a chance for some drizzle/sporadic showers. Not a washout by any means, but you may have to pause the BBQ to wait out a passing shower. The good news is that the fireworks festivities at 9:20PM tomorrow night look good! Skies clear out tomorrow evening with nice conditions thereafter!

Sunday still looks like the pick of the weekend with plenty of sun and temperatures reaching the mid 80s for the highs. UV index will be high but rip currents will be low, so the beaches should be a great spot to be. Have a great holiday weekend, everybody!
