7/26 CBS2 Tuesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

CBS2 Meteorologist

There will be some relief in the air this afternoon as our humidity levels continue to fall off. However, it will still be pretty hot out there with an anticipated high of about 93°.

The heat and humidity combined will make it feel like the mid 90's, so the National Weather Service has placed NYC under a heat advisory through the remainder of the afternoon.

It will be mostly clear tonight with just a few high clouds. And it will be mild and a little more comfortable than last night. Temps will fall into the mid and low 70's by daybreak.

Sunshine's on tap again tomorrow. And expect the heat to return with highs in the low 90's.

We're going to take the humidity up a notch on Thursday. And the better part of the day looks dry, but we'll have to bring a storm chance back by the early evening hours. Highs that day will be about 90° -- and should we reach 90°, that would make it an eight-day heat wave.

As for Friday, expect a chance of showers and storms with humid conditions and highs in the mid 80's.
