Riders Frustrated As Signal Problems Slow 7-Train Service During Commute
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The 7 train service has resumed between Manhattan and Queens, but riders should expect delays in both directions.

Services were previously suspended in both directions between 34th Street-Hudson Yard in Manhattan and Flushing-Main Street in Queens due to a signal problem.

Passengers were advised to find alternate routes. Those heading to the New York Mets' game at CitiField were impacted by the delays.

The LIRR was cross-honoring tickets for service between Queens and Manhattan.
After getting word of the delays, stranded commuters tried to pile onto buses in Long Island City.
When trains started to run again, platforms were crowded, and fed up commuters just wanted to get home.
"It's ridiculous, and they increased the fare for this," one rider said.
"I don't think anyone has expectations of the MTA being on time or delivering for the people who take it," another added.
