6/7 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Boy oh boy, what a way to finish the weekend! We had plenty of sun, low humidity, and lots of 60s & 70s! It'll be a nice night ahead as well with dry air holding on and temps dropping down into the 50s once again.

Changes to our weather arrive tomorrow. A frontal system racing in from the Great Lakes will first bring clouds, then more humidity, then finally a chance for showers and thunderstorms. The morning commute looks okay, as does most of the afternoon. More clouds than sun with a high in the mid 70s. It's the evening commute through the night that looks dicey - some thunderstorms could be strong (even severe) with torrential rain, small hail, and damaging wind. We'll keep you updated as we get more info.

Some showers and storms linger around on Tuesday morning, but the sun makes a welcome return Tuesday afternoon...and we'll soar into the 80s! It will be a bit sticky due to all the moisture in the atmosphere, so make sure to wear light clothing! Wednesday looks like a beauty with plentiful sunshine, low humidity, and a high of 82 in NYC.
