It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon across the tri-state area ... and unlike yesterday, this morning was gorgeous, too -- albeit on the cool side! Expect plenty of sun through the rest of the day with high temps reaching 74 in NYC, staying in the upper 60s along the coast. Perfect for a day out and about!

Things change overnight as a frontal system nears. First the clouds arrive, then the humidity ... and there could be a few sprinkles/isolated showers for tomorrow morning's commute. Skies will be mostly cloudy through the day, and it will be mild and muggy. Expect a high temp of 76 in NYC, but it won't feel as pleasant as today.

Late in the day and in the evening, we'll have to watch a round of thunderstorms approaching from the west. Some could be strong or even severe with small hail and damaging wind along with torrential rain. We'll keep you updated on the severe threat through the evening.

Tuesday will start off with a few lingering showers, but we'll see sun returning in the afternoon. Once the sun does return, we'll soar into the 80s! In fact, we'll be in the 80s through the end of the week. Pretty fitting for June!
