6/6 CBS2 Saturday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hey there folks! After this morning's rain, we'll have plenty of sun this afternoon. Expect a high in the mid/upper 70s before a cold front sweeps through overnight. If you're heading to the Belmont Stakes this evening, the air will be dry - but the ground may not be. Either way, expect sun and low 70s as American Pharaoh races for history.

Tomorrow will definitely be the better half of the weekend, albeit just a few degrees cooler...plentiful sunshine from start to finish with highs in the middle 70s. If you plan on getting away to the mountains or the parks, tomorrow would certainly be the day to do it!

The next week starts off a bit stormy with a chance for heavy rain/thunderstorms Monday into Tuesday. Mild on Monday with a high of 75, and even warmer on Tuesday with highs in the mid 80s. Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!
