6/28 CBS2 Tuesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

It will be a muggy afternoon with a few hit & miss showers and storms. It does, however, looks like the strongest of storms -- and really the bulk of the activity -- will hold off until late in the day (starting N&W) and into the evening. These showers and storms could produce heavy rainfall and gusty winds, so do be mindful of that if you're out and about.

Things will quiet down the remainder of the night, but it won't cool off much. Temps will only fall into the upper 60's or so and it will still be a little humid around sunrise.

Into tomorrow, we'll see our cold front slowly slide east, so our rain chances will be rather low... only about 20% N/E. It will be a little brighter and warmer with highs in the low to mid 80's.

As for Thursday, it's looking like the nicest of the next few as some higher pressure fills in. Expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 80's.
