6/19 CBS2 Friday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta
CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good evening everyone,

This morning started off poorly enough with mostly cloudy skies and a good amount of humidity. A few showers and storms dropped rain before lunchtime, but as the afternoon progressed, skies cleared and temps spiked! We hit 86° around 2:30 p.m.

Now, it's just beautiful out there. Less humid air is filtering in and tonight will be pleasant. Skies are partly clear to start tomorrow, but clouds quickly fill in tomorrow after mid morning or so.

We could see a few showers by evening, mostly light in nature.

We watch remnants of Tropical Storm Bill make their way into the Tri-State. The track is now narrowing and the models are on board with it heading our way. Rainfall could be heavy at times with models outputting 1-3".

But the afternoon improves with some sun breaking out.

Check back in soon for the latest.
