57-Year-Old Woman Found Dead In Chinatown Bathtub

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A woman was found dead in a bathtub Saturday in Chinatown, police said.

Officers responded to the apartment building on Eldridge Street after a 911 call around 6 p.m. Saturday. They found the woman unconscious in the tub.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities identified her as Meilin Lu, 57.

Authorities ruled Lu's death a homicide. On Sunday night, Chuen Lau, 55, was arrested and charged with second degree murder.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
