5/4 CBS2 Monday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta,
CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good evening,

Today was the warmest day of 2015. We hit 85 degrees in Central Park. A few communities in our interior suburbs neared the 90 degree mark!

Those living on Long Island felt the cooler temps off the water. The Hamptons never made it out of the 60s.

We will have a mild one tonight with the overnight low in the city bottoming out in the mid/low 60s. The 'burbs will fall into the 50s.

A cold front drapes across the area tomorrow bringing a few showers during the afternoon. An embedded thunderstorm is to be expected.

Skies gradually clear on Wednesday with pleasant conditions by mid afternoon.

Thursday is full of sunshine and Friday we're back near 80°.

Check back in soon for the latest.
