5/28 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

What a scorcher it was today! Many inland spots topped 90 degrees, and we'll hold onto that warmth overnight... temps will only drop to the 60s, with a low around 70 in NYC. Safe to say, any outdoor plans tonight look good!

Tomorrow will be another very warm day, perhaps a few degrees cooler, but still quite muggy. There will also be more clouds moving into the area with a late-day thunderstorm risk, especially north & west of NYC.

Then for Memorial Day on Monday... well it looks like a soggy day. Periods of rain, heavy at times, will move through the area. We'll be getting some extra moisture added into the storms from the tropical system off the Carolinas, so expect some downpours! It will be much cooler too, with highs only in the 70s.

Make sure to enjoy the outdoors tomorrow if you can, and stay safe out there!
