5/2 CBS2 Saturday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Afternoon!

If you like warm temps, you're going to love the forecast. In fact, we're tracking the warmest stretch headed this way since September! It's about time, right?

Feeling seasonable out there this afternoon, with a high of 68 in the city. Some locations south and west will get into the low 70s. Most stay dry, but there is a very slight chance of a passing shower north and west of the city. Definitely don't cancel any plans, any sprinkles will be quick moving.

Great night for baseball, if you're headed out to see the Mets take on the Nationals! Temp of 61 at the start, dropping into the upper 50s by game's end. Partly cloudy overnight, with lows in the upper 40s and low 50s... 53 for NYC.

Tomorrow we bump it up once again, with temps in the mid to upper 70s! Mostly sunny skies will prevail as we start to tap into a southwest flow.

Then it's a summer preview to start out the work week, with highs breaking 80 on Monday. Going for 82 in the city, but I think there will be some readings a couple degrees higher to the south. Plentiful sunshine!

Check back in soon for the latest forecast.
