5/11 CBS2 Monday Morning Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good morning folks! Another day, another cloudy, muggy, and foggy start...Temps are in the mid 60s in the city and we'll warm into the 80s again by the afternoon. Could also get a few showers/thundershowers but nothing serious.  While the showers may put a damper on the summery warmth, we actually do need the rain...18 days with no measured rain and counting!

Tomorrow will be warmer areawide, and the warmest of the week. Temps will peak at 86 in NYC, but folks in NJ should have no problem topping 90 degrees. It will also be more humid tomorrow, and there will be a greater chance for storms due to these ingredients. A few thunderstorms could pack heavy rain, gusty winds, and perhaps small hail.

Beyond tomorrow, weather looks to be picture perfect. Plenty of sun Wednesday through Friday with temps in the low 70s along with low humidity. Can't beat that!
