5/1 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

YUCK! That's the best way to describe today's weather. Hopefully you found a way to stay warm & dry on this soggy Sunday. Expect a few more showers tonight & perhaps a rumble, with temps staying where they are in the 40s.

Keep the umbrella handy tomorrow and really through the entire week ahead.  A few showers and thunderstorms are possible tomorrow but nothing like today's soaker. In terms of temps, looks like the approaching warm front will struggle to get through, so we won't be as warm as previously thought. Still, we'll be much warmer with temps in the upper 50s to around 60.

The chance for rain continues Tuesday...and Wednesday...and the rest of the week. Despite this, it looks like we'll start a steady return to more seasonable temps through the rest of the week, getting into the mid & upper 60s.
