$5,000 Reward Offered In Hit-And-Run That Killed Woman, 70, In Newark

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Crime Stoppers in Newark announced a $5,000 reward Thursday for information in a hit-and-run that killed a 70-year-old woman last month.

Around 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, Barbara Minor was struck by an unspecified vehicle at Sanford and South Orange avenues in Newark, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's office.

She was later pronounced dead at University Hospital, prosecutors said.

The Essex County Sheriff's Crime Stopper Program has announced a $5,000 reward for information leading into an arrest in the case.

Anyone with information was asked to call the Essex County Prosecutors Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force tips line, at (877) 847-7432.
