5 Worst Performances From Eli Manning

The Giants lost a winnable game on Sunday against the 49ers by a score of 16-10 and Eli Manning turned in one of the worst performances during his tenure as the starting quarterback of the New York Giants. The loss dropped the Giants to 3-7 on the season and Eli and friends all but out of the playoffs for the third straight year. The two-time Super Bowl champion has had a lot of success as a Giant but let's look at his five worst performances, one of them which came today against the 49ers.

5. Dec. 12, 2004 At Baltimore Ravens

Manning's fourth career start was a doozy. He completed just four passes for 27 yards and had 2 INTs in a 37-14 loss, which made for a long train ride back from Baltimore.

4. Nov. 13, 2005 Vs. Minnesota Vikings

Four of the five worst performances on this list have come at home for Eli and this one came against the 3-5 Vikings. Eli threw 4 INTs, 1 TD and only connected on 23 of his 48 throws. Despite finished the 2005 season 11-5, I'm sure Eli wishes he could have this one back.

3. Nov. 16, 2014 Vs. San Francisco 49ers

Eli, Eli, Eli. Despite the run game being non-existent in this game, Eli didn't do his team any favors by throwing 5 INTs, and completing just 22 of his 45 passes at home, essentially bailing out the 49ers and locking up a W for them. The Giants should have and could have won this game but Eli and the lack of a run game made sure that didn't happen.

2. Nov. 25, 2007 Vs. Minnesota Vikings

Eli again had a bad game at home against the Vikings back in 2007 and the Giants got destroyed 41-17. The fourth year QB had 4 INTs and completed only 21 passes in that game. While this was just a hiccup in their Super Bowl winning season, Eli turned in another bad performance at home against the Vikings.

1. Dec. 15, 2013 Vs. Seattle Seahawks

In what is easily the worst performance of his NFL career, Manning threw 5 INTs and connected 18 passes for just 156 yards at home against the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. The loss dropped them to 5-9 on the season and assured an under .500 finish for the first time since 2004.
