Firefighters Battle 5-Alarm Fire At Queens Village Warehouse

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Firefighters were on the scene of a 5-alarm fire at a warehouse in Queens late Sunday night.

The fire on 218th Street in Queens Village started just before 6:30 p.m., according to fire officials.

More than 200 firefighters worked to bring the fire under control, and as of 11 p.m. were still on the scene putting out hot spots, CBS2 reported.

Witnesses said they felt the force of the flames even from a safe distance.

"At a certain point, when the flames were really high, I could feel the heat from the place. It was all over me, I could feel it," said Marc Dalce.

So far, there are no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
