Earlier in the week, Mets legend Mike Piazza got rejected once again for induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Still, he is one of quite a few New York athletes who should eventually get in.

Here are four:

One of the best centers of his era (if not the best). He was named a Hall semifinalist in November -- his first year on the ballot.

3. Tiki Barber

He could go either way, but the Giants' all-time leading rusher should have a strong enough resume to break through.

2. Mike Richter

One of the best American goaltenders of all-time and a legend here in New York, it's kinda surprising that Richter hasn't gotten the call yet.

The best hitting catcher of all time. He has to get in eventually ... right?
