4 Men Wanted For Impersonating Officers During Robbery In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are on the hunt for four men accused of impersonating officers during a robbery in the Bronx.

Earlier this month, police said the suspects stopped a minivan at Morris Avenue and East 182 Street in Fordham Heights.

The suspects, who were wearing shields around their necks and what appeared to be protective vests, identified themselves as police officers and ordered three men in the van to get out of the vehicle, police said.

One of the suspects then took off with the minivan, while the others fled in a sedan, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, visit the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
