3/7 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hope you've been enjoying a storm-free Saturday evening! It's actually the first weekend in quite some time that we aren't tracking a winter storm. While it will be cold across the area tonight, we'll be getting a bit of a warmup tomorrow, with many folks into the 40s! One thing to watch out for: any melting that occurred today will re-freeze as temps area-wide drop below freezing.

Tomorrow is looking good with plentiful sunshine with the aforementioned 40s for daytime highs—we're thinking NYC will top off at 44 degrees. It's still a few degrees below normal, but it'll be noticeably warmer compared to today and ESPECIALLY Friday! Monday is looking nice as well with sunshine, a light breeze, and mid-40s.

Clouds increase Tuesday and we'll watch a storm slide to our south, which could bring some rain showers to folks south and east of NYC.
