3/5 CBS2 Thursday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta
CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good evening all,

Our storm has performed basically as advertised. A widespread 4-8 inches for many of us, those living in the Hudson Valley & interior Connecticut, 6 or less.

Many saw half a foot or more spreading from Central New Jersey and areas south. Snow wrapped up around 8 p.m.

Skies will start to clear tonight and temps will plunge. Wake-up temps for Friday will be in the single digits for those living in the 'burbs. Low teens near the coast.

At least winds will not be too strong, so chills will not be as brutal in the afternoon. Highs: Near 30 degrees.

Saturday is about 10 degrees milder peaking. Sunday is even milder still. Expect widespread melting.

Check back in soon for the latest.
