3/28 CBS2 Saturday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia

Good Afternoon!

I know what you're thinking... where's spring?! It's definitely not around today, as we're once again dealing with a winter chill this afternoon around the Tri-State complete with cold and snow.

Passing rain and snow showers will continue throughout the region, with a steady snow at times east of the city. Not expecting much accumulations, maybe an inch or two on Long Island, mainly on those grassy surfaces. Going for a high of 40 today in the city, but it'll feel much colder with the winds.

The good news is we clear out overnight and tomorrow will be sunny and dry, making for a much better second half of the weekend. Still stuck in the 40s, but an improvement from today nonetheless.

Much more seasonable for Monday, with a high of 55 in the city under partly sunny skies. There is a slight chance of a passing shower, but it will by no means be a washout.

Stay warm and check back in soon for the latest!
