3/10 CBS2 Thursday Evening Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good evening, everyone! Another record-breaking warm day out there today with temps in the upper 70s and low 80s. Central Park reached 79, breaking the old record of 74 set 10 years ago. Once again, there were cooler temps along the coast with the cold waters, as well as far north and west due to an approaching frontal boundary.

Showers north of the city now will make their way south and east this evening and overnight. Not expecting any flooding issues as this is a quick mover, clearing out before the bulk of the morning commute.

Behind the front, temps drop... but not by much. Highs will still get into the low and mid 60s for Friday with plenty of sunshine! It will be breezy at times.

As for the weekend, Saturday will start off pretty chilly. But once again, we'll rebound into the low 60s with mostly sunny skies. Definitely the better half of the weekend, as Sunday features more cloud cover and our next shower chance.

Have a good night and check back soon!
