3-Year-Old Girl Fatally Struck By Car While Crossing Bronx Street

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 3-year-old girl was fatally struck by a car as she crossed the street with her mother in the Bronx on Monday morning.

Little Mariam Dansoko was struck by the vehicle as it made a left turn onto East 164th Street from Gerard Avenue just after 8 a.m. Monday.

The little girl was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Her mother was pushing a stroller with another child inside at the time, 1010 WINS reported. They were not hurt.

The 21-year-old driver of the 2014 Nissan remained on the scene.

So far, no arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
