3 Pedestrians Struck By NICE Bus In Great Neck

GREAT NECK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- An investigation is underway after three pedestrians were struck by a NICE Bus in Great Neck.

The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on Middle Neck Road.

The pedestrians were apparently struck by the right front wheel guard as the N20 bus to Flushing was making a left turn onto Middle Neck Road from Great Neck Road, a bus company spokesman said in an email to 1010 WINS.

Two women, ages 64 and 34, and a 2-year-old boy were taken to a local hospital for evaluation, Nassau County police said. No serious injuries were reported.

No charges have been filed.

The bus company said the driver is a 27-year veteran who drove for MTA Long Island Bus before NICE.
