3 MTA Workers Injured In Accident At Union Square Subway Station

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Three MTA workers were rushed to the hospital after being burned while working at the 14th Street-Union Square subway station.

The crew was working on the third rail as part of the overnight FasTrack work when they were hurt around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

The injuries are not life-threatening and the accident is under investigation.

Commuters were told to avoid the 4, 5, and 6 lines for a time after the incident, but service has since resumed.
