2/9 CBS2 Monday Morning Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre Jr, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Monday morning all! Take extra care this morning as you head out...a wintry mix of ice/sleet/snow will impact the region, with more of the way of ice/sleet in NYC. We're talking treacherous roads with accumulating ice. For folks north of I-84, you're looking at just snow.

Heading far north into Sullivan/Ulster/Dutchess? You're gonna get all snow from this storm. Looking like 6-9" for those northern locations. 3-6" Likely for the Rockland/Westchester/Passaic areas. Closer to NYC, we're expecting 1-3", and mainly rain for the South Shore and Jersey Shore...but a quick inch or two is possible Monday evening as colder air moves in and everyone's gettin' snow during the PM commute.

Things are looking a bit better Tuesday with temps reaching the mid 30s...but wind chills in the teens/20s due to winds blowin' out of the north. Expect a similarly chilly day Wednesday with late-day clouds.
