27 Long Island Towns Make Forbes' Wealthiest Zip Codes List

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Forbes Magazine released its list of wealthiest zip codes in the nation and this year Long Island took up nearly 30 spots.

As WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported, of the 27 most expensive zip codes that are on Long Island, Sagaponack -- where Billy Joel used to own a house -- ranked second on the Forbes list.

Bridgehampton -- home to Joel's ex Christie Brinkley -- ranked number 13 and Water Mill is number 16.

All three are located in the Hamptons.

Woodbury ranked number 339, while Syosset, Southampton, Roslyn and Manhasset also made the list.

And the top wealthiest zip code in the nation belongs to Atherton in California.
