2/6 CBS2 Friday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Evening All,

We had quite the cold start this morning. The city began the day at a mere 12 degrees. Not our coldest of the season (which was 8 degrees). But just outside of the foothills of the Tri-State, temps really fell off.

Kingston, NY started off at -12 degrees. Monticello, NY started the day at -8 degrees. Yeah, bone chilling. We topped of at 27 degrees.

Saturday brings the risk for some snow showers. No real accumulation expected, but those whose see training snow showers can expect up to .5 inches.

Sunday is milder with a high in the low 40s. Rain and possibly some freezing rain can occur north of NYC, but the majority of the day is dry, esp. south.

Monday is the best chance for a messy mix. But some new model runs are pushing it even further north. Check back in soon for the latest during this busy season.
