2/22 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hopefully you got a chance to get out and enjoy the beautiful warmth we had today - many folks in/around NYC, LI, and Jersey Shore got into the mid 40s! Just like we've seen all winter though, we're heading back to the freezer, and quickly!

An Arctic cold front plows through tonight and will knock our temps down into the teens for tomorrow. Waking up tomorrow morning, some folks will have wind chills of 15 degrees below zero! More like 10 above in NYC. Expect plenty of sunshine throughout the day with a few flurries far north and west...but the sunshine won't do much. Expect an early morning high around 20 degrees in NYC, dropping into the single digits late at night.

A reinforcing blast of Arctic air arrives Monday night into Tuesday, with single digits and even some subzero temps in the N/W 'burbs. Looks like we will drop to 5 degrees in NYC. BRRR!!! Some snow showers possible north of the city Tuesday night into Wednesday, with us warming up to mid 20s Tuesday and into the mid 30s on Wednesday.
