2/11 CBS2 Thursday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis

It will be much colder this afternoon compared to yesterday... blustery winds with feels like temps in the mid teens! We could even see a few snow showers swing through, so do be mindful of that (especially if you're driving).

The winds will ease up a little bit into tonight, but it will be even colder with temps bottoming out in the mid teens!

We'll rebound into the mid to upper 20s tomorrow, still spared from the winds, but don't get used to it, because an arctic air mass will invade on Saturday: gusty winds with single digit and sub-zero wind chills!

As for Valentine's Day, we'll bottom out that morning at around 3° (the record low is 2° set back in 1916), but because of the lingering winds, it will only feel like -15 to -20°! Then the winds will subside into the afternoon, but we'll still only make it into the upper teens!

There's more to come on the cold! Check back for updates!
