2 Officers Injured When Car Crashes Into Cruisers In Little Ferry

LITTLE FERRY, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Two police officers suffered injuries after authorities say a driver they were pursuing purposely slammed into their cruisers in Little Ferry, New Jersey.

Henry Schuck, of Hampton Bays, New York, was first stopped Sunday morning for not having his seat belt buckled, South Hackensack police told The Record. But as the officers spoke with Schuck, he allegedly drove off.

The officers chased Schuck's vehicle into nearby Little Ferry, where Schuck then allegedly rammed both police cars, hitting one head-on at around 9:30 a.m.

The officers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Schuck faces several charges, including eluding and aggravated assault on a police officer.
