19-Year-Old Killed In Car Crash On Long Island

WHEATLEY HEIGHTS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) - Police on Long Island say a 19-year-old woman was killed in a single car crash that injured two others.

Police say Carla Flores, of Wyandanch, was a backseat passenger in a car that veered off the road in Wheatley Heights near the intersection of Little East Neck Road and Colonial Springs Road. It happened at about 4:20 a.m. Saturday.

Police say Flores was pronounced dead at the scene. A 20-year-old man was treated for non-life threatening injuries and a 19-year-old refused treatment for a minor injury.

Police say the two men were in the vehicle's front seat, but were still trying to determine who was driving.
