1/9 CBS2 Friday Morning Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Morning Everyone!

Bundle the kiddies up for school and give yourself some extra time driving this morning. Even though the snow we're getting (possibly it's over you as you read this) is not a whole lot, it's still very dangerous when temps have been this cold.

Any flakes will instantly freeze upon road contact. So again, travel safe.

Totals are generally an inch or less with a few getting 1 to 2 inches in higher elevations. All snow will be well east of us by noon and the sun returns.

There is a wind advisory for Suffolk County until the afternoon.

Tonight will be very cold again -- down into the teens and single digits north and west.

Saturday's highs will struggle to get to the mid & upper 20s. Sunday is near balmy at 35.

Check back soon for an update.
